According to Amac News: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan has written in X-mail messages that a coordination meeting between government departments and the United Nations was held today (Thursday, May 16) in Kabul.
Amir Khan Mottaqi, the head of foreign affairs, said in this meeting that the current government still needs international aid in Afghanistan to compensate for the losses of the 40-year wars.
Mottaqi also added that for maximum use of international aid, the nature and manner of aid distribution should be equal to the needs of the Afghan people.
On the other hand, Andrika Ratwathe, the head of the humanitarian and development department of the United Nations and deputy head of UNAMA, said that this organization is working on changing the nature of humanitarian aid to development aid and identifying the areas on which the aid of the United Nations is focused.
