The UAE Special Olympics began at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) with the participation of more than 600 athletes from all over the United Arab Emirates.
According to Amac News: These games will be held from June 7 to 10, and athletes will compete in six sports: bowling, badminton, basketball, football, powerlifting, and electronic sports.
Doctors from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and Algeria will participate in a training session in collaboration with Special Olympics MENA.
The UAE Games will include several complementary activities from the UAE Special Olympics Health Program. These games include several free ACs.
Sports activities at the community level include bowling activities, in cooperation with the community centers of determination of the Ministry of Community Development, in addition to basketball and football activities, which are organized in cooperation with Zayed High Organization for decisive people.
Also, the Golisano Health Leadership Award is the most prestigious award in the field of inclusive and international health of the Special Olympics on a global scale. The Games have received support from key local organizations including ADNOC.
