Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), with David M. Rubenstein, the founder and chairman of the Carlyle Group, met and talked.

According to Amac News: In this meeting, Bin Rashid emphasized the UAE's commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading global private investment companies such as the Carlyle Group, as part of its broader vision to accelerate the growth of the financial services sector and the larger national sector.
The UAE Minister also expressed Dubai's commitment to supporting leading global companies by providing a world-class ecosystem and a legal framework that leads to sustainable growth.
Rubenstein emphasized Carlyle Group's desire to expand its footprint in the region and explore new opportunities in emerging markets.
Carlyle Group is one of the largest private investment companies in the world, partner of Dubai.
Managing $425 billion in assets worldwide across three segments – private equity, credit and investment solutions – the group has 28 offices on four continents and more than 2,200 professionals worldwide. Carlyle Group opened an office in Dubai International Financial Center in 2006.
