The Ministry of Finance of the United Arab Emirates has announced that it will participate in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington DC in 2024.

According to Amac News: The UAE Ministry of Finance announced that these meetings will be held from October 21 to 26, 2024.
The IMF and WBG meetings address a wide range of important global issues in economics and development, bringing together a diverse group of international economic leaders, including central bank governors, ministers of finance and development, and representatives of the private sector and civil society brings.
Key topics include global economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, international aid, and challenges facing the global financial system.
These meetings also hold meetings for the International Monetary and Financial Committee and the Development Committee of the World Bank, both of which play a central role in shaping international financial and economic policies in response to changing global dynamics.
On the sidelines of these meetings, the Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the UAE Central Bank and the UAE Embassy in Washington, will host the acceptance of UAE banks.
The event provides a valuable opportunity for delegations and senior officials from international financial institutions and banks to network, strengthen relationships between the UAE's public and private sectors, and highlight the country's growing influence in the global financial arena.
