According to Amac News: The Ministry has published a newsletter saying that Azizi and his accompanying delegation have discussed with Islamov Bobir Farkhadovich, the Minister of Mines and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding trade agreements between the two countries.
On the basis of the newsletter, Farkhadovich has emphasized the close cooperation between the two countries in various sectors of mines and requested the conclusion of an investment support agreement between the two countries.
He also spoke about the establishment of two large factories in the field of copper processing in Uzbekistan, saying: these factories are in dire need of raw materials, and the exploration and extraction of copper from Afghanistan will increase this need.
Nuruddin Azizi welcomed Uzbekistan's interest in working with Afghanistan and said: "Uzbekistan should invest in the oil and gas mines of northern Afghanistan, because the proximity of the route will be more beneficial to Uzbekistan in terms of logistics and easy access to regional markets."
Azizi also proposed to Uzbekistan to invest in copper mines of Ghazni and Herat provinces and to create mineral processing factories in Afghanistan.
The head of this ministry has asked Uzbekistan to send an official delegation to Afghanistan for surveying and technical work in coordination with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
