According to
Amac News: Based on Yonhap news agency report, South Korean smartphone users spent a total of 900 million minutes using ChatGPT, A., WRTN, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Claude in December.
This amount is the highest recorded figure and more than eight times the figure of 110 million minutes that was reported last year.
Last month, OpenAI's ChatGPT was the most used generative AI service in the country, with 6.82 million users.
It was followed by SK Telecom's AI assistant service A. in second place with 2.45 million users, and WRTN in third place with 2.32 million users.
Also Perplexity with 590,000 users, Microsoft Copilot with 310,000 users and Claude with 120,000 users were next.
WRTN is an AI aggregator developed by Korean startup Wrtn Technologies, Perplexity is a global AI search engine, and Claude is an AI assistant created by American company Anthropic.
