Government statistics show that the food industry in Egypt witnessed significant growth from January to November 2024. According to these statistics, the export of the Egyptian food industry in this time period reached about 5.5 billion dollars.

According to Amac News: This figure shows a 17% increase compared to the 4.7 billion dollars recorded in the same period in 2023, which is equivalent to an additional 813 million dollars.
This figure is known as the highest export value and growth rate recorded during this time period, surpassing the total exports of 2023, which was 5.068 billion dollars. Also, this figure represents an increase of 474 million dollars compared to last year.
According to the announcement of the Egyptian Food Industry Export Council, Arab countries remain the country's largest export market and account for 2.936 billion dollars (53% of total food exports).
The European Union ranks next with 1.083 billion dollars, equivalent to 20% of the total exports and a growth rate of 33%.
Non-Arab African countries accounted for 464 million dollars of exports, which is 8% of the total exports and had a growth of 7%.
The United States also exported 302 million dollars, which is equivalent to 5% of the total export and shows a growth of 40%.
Other international markets added $756 million to exports, accounting for 14% of total exports, an 8% increase.
During the last decade from 2014 to November 2024, the export of the food industry in Egypt reached a remarkable figure of 40.5 billion dollars, which indicates the growing importance of this sector in the global markets and its role in stimulating the economic growth of the country.
