The 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 (GISS 2025) and its accompanying exhibition, the Global Sustainable Aviation Market (GSAM 2025), an initiative by the UAE and under the auspices of ICAO to accelerate global efforts to develop alternative and low-carbon fuels for the international aviation sector, opened today in Abu Dhabi.
Abdullah bin Tawq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), stressed the vital role of the aviation sector in the global economy, saying that in some countries it accounts for 12 to 13 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
Abu Dhabi is set to host the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 in February, organized by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Attending the 80th anniversary celebration of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held in Chicago, the United Arab Emirates emphasized the vital role of this organization in the development of the global aviation sector and strengthening cooperation between member countries.
