Local officials of the Afghanistan acting government in Herat province and the general director of the TAPI gas pipeline project say that the work on the project is progressing at a faster pace.

Afghanistan's Arg has published a newsletter and said that during his visit to Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mohammad Hassan Akhund, met with the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and officially opened the TAPI project.
