Afghanistan's Arg has published a newsletter and said that during his visit to Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mohammad Hassan Akhund, met with the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and officially opened the TAPI project.

Officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan say that the first preparatory meeting of the commission for the opening of TAPI, optical fiber, TAPI and railway projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan has been held.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan published a statement saying that Amir Khan Mottaqi, the Acting Minister of the Ministry, met with his Turkmen counterpart.
