Local officials in Panjshir province say they have sold 3,000 carats of emerald worth more than $100,000.

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan said in a statement on X that the acting head of the ministry met with the head of the private company Gama.

The Directorate of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir Province has announced that it has sold three thousand and 977 carats of extracted emeralds.
