According to Amac News: the spokesman of the governor of Panjshir province said that 3 thousand 545 carats of emerald products of the province were sold through tender worth 107 thousand 450 US dollars.
Earlier, officials of the provincial mining and petroleum department announced that 2,491 carats of emerald were sold for $37,550 in the 26th round of emerald bidding.
So far, 586 permits have been issued for legal mining of Panjshir emerald and more than 15,000 local people have been provided with jobs.
