The European Union has announced that it has allocated 15 million euros (US$15.8 million) to the World Food Program (WFP) to strengthen resilience and support Afghan communities against the effects of climate change.

The European Union said in a statement that it would provide €146 million to strengthen basic services and livelihoods in Afghanistan.
