The UAE Ministry of Energy and Petroleum said in a statement that it participated in the 113th meeting of the Arab Energy Organization (AEO) ministers.
UAE participates in Arab Energy Organization ministerial meeting
According to Amac News: The UAE Ministry of Energy and Petroleum said in a statement that the meeting was held in Kuwait with the participation of oil and energy ministers from member countries.
According to the statement, the UAE delegation was headed by Sharif Al-Olama, Deputy Minister of Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, along with Saif Ghobash, Deputy Minister for Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
According to the statement, at the meeting of the Organization of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the ministers decided to develop and restructure the organization by changing its name to the Arab Energy Organization (AEO).
The meeting discussed the organization’s draft budget for 2025, as well as the systems and regulations governing its work to align with the challenges and developments in the energy sector, among other issues, with the aim of serving the next phase.
Sharif Al-Olama stated that today's meeting reflects the commitment of the Arab Energy Organization member states to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination in the energy sector.
He added that the organization's member states are working in a spirit of partnership and unity to strengthen the role of energy, focusing on innovation and resource sustainability to ensure a better future for future generations.
He stressed the UAE's willingness to work with all member states and international partners to promote the sustainability of the energy sector and achieve balance in global markets.
