Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) announced that in order to improve and develop water transmission and distribution networks in all areas of Sharjah Emirate, it is implementing a number of projects in Kalba city worth 107,435,000 dirhams.
SEWA implements water networks projects in Kalba
According to Amac News: These projects are designed to meet the increasing demand for water in order to meet the needs of various development projects in the city.
Youssef Al Hammadi, director of the Kalba department in SEWA, said that the implementation of these projects is carried out within the framework of the orders of the ruler of Sharjah, Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
Al-Hammadi explained that these projects include the expansion of the water network in the new industrial area of ​​Kolba, worth 5,000,000 dirhams, and its first phase will be completed in January.
According to Al Hammadi, the second phase of this project will begin after the preparation of the area by strategic partners, i.e. Planning and Mapping Department and Kolba Municipality, in the amount of 3,665,111 dirhams.
The project to extend the main water line from the industrial area to Al-Bahira neighborhood has also been completed at a cost of 5,000,000 dirhams, and work is underway to extend a main water line to the Wadi El Helo area, which includes a new pumping station worth 43,769. 621 dirhams and this project is expected to be completed in January 2025.
Work is also underway to extend a water line to the Jabal Al Dim project and new pumping and lifting stations worth AED 50,000,000 and is scheduled to be completed in December 2025.
