Amac News: The partnership aims to enhance innovation, improve production efficiency and strengthen the supply capacity of agricultural products in the UAE, according to Silal’s announcement.
The agreement was officially signed during World Food Week in Abu Dhabi by Salmin Al Omari, CEO of Silal, and Ming Yang, founder of Shouguang Food and Agriculture Group.
In this partnership, Silal and Shouguang Vegetable Industry Group will notably launch a seed development program.
The partnership will also include the development of a greenhouse demonstration park based on the innovative “Shouguang Model” that will provide farmers in the UAE and the region with advanced greenhouse technologies, seedling cultivation, grafting techniques, pollination and crop management.
Silal CEO Salmin Al Omari said the company’s partnership with Shouguang Vegetable Industrial Group is a key step in enhancing food security, supporting local farmers and providing high-quality products to the Emirati community.
Meanwhile, Ming Yang, founder of Shouguang Vegetable Industrial Group, said the group is building a food supply chain that meets market needs.
