According to
Amac News, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Afghanistan wrote on his X account announcing this news that the acting government is seeking to interact with the world "for a strong, united, advanced, prosperous, developed Afghanistan and an active member of the international community."
After the current rulers took control of Afghanistan in August 2021, Japan has not recognized their government so far.
However, the country has provided humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan through international organizations and non-governmental organizations.
This assistance has been mainly focused on the health, education, and livelihood sectors.
Tokyo has also called for the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan and respect for human rights, especially the rights of women and girls.
The Japanese embassy in Kabul remains closed, but the country has established a diplomatic office in Qatar through which it regulates its interactions with the current rulers of Afghanistan and international institutions regarding the country.
