The UAE, in partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), held a special session on Sunday on “Women’s Initiatives in Diplomacy and Renewable Energy”.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) held two events, ‘Renewable Dialogue’ and ‘Women in Diplomacy’, to mark World Clean Energy Day, which is celebrated annually on January 26.
On the occasion of World Clean Energy Day, Nawal Al-Hassouni, the UAE’s Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), said that his country continues to promote global investment in clean energy projects through strategic partnerships and financial platforms and solutions.
The 15th meeting of the IRENA Assembly was held on Sunday, January 12 in Abu Dhabi. This is the first international event in the field of energy this year.
At the 15th IRENA Summit in Abu Dhabi, Amna bint Abdullah Al-Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates, emphasized the UAE's commitment to accelerate global energy transition through cooperation, inclusiveness and strategic partnerships.
