According to Amac News: This organization said that hepatitis C attacks the liver and can cause acute and chronic disease that can threaten life.
According to the organization, it is spread through contact with contaminated blood, including through the use of shared needles or syringes, unscreened blood transfusions, among other practices that result in exposure to blood.
This kit is manufactured by OraSure Technologies and is an extension of the OraQuick HCV Rapid Antibody Test, which was originally pre-specified by the WHO in 2017 for professional use.
According to the World Health Organization, about 50 million people have chronic hepatitis C virus infection, with about one million new infections occurring each year.
