The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) team has announced that it has participated on behalf of the United Arab Emirates at the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York.

According to Amac News: ERC Secretary General Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri said that the United Arab Emirates is committed to supporting infrastructure projects and renewable and clean energy.
He added that the United Arab Emirates seeks to create employment opportunities, education and health care to deal with the eradication of poverty.
Al Mansouri added that 54% of the total aid provided by the ERC in 2022 was development aid, of which 64% was allocated to the first goal of sustainable development, which is poverty eradication.
He also explained that his country has implemented 264,788 projects in various sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure, social care, water and clean energy.
These projects benefit 53 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America, reach 94 million beneficiaries and total project costs of $1.3 billion.
He noted that the ERC has strong partnerships with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), UNICEF, the World Food Program (WFP), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the World Health Organization (WHO), UNRWA, the International Federation of Cross Red and Red Crescent Society, and other United Nations agencies.
