The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has announced that this authority has installed more than a million smart water meters in Dubai.

According to Amac News: DEWA said that by the beginning of June 2024, DEWA had installed more than one million smart meters that comply with the highest international technical standards.
DEWA said it is working to develop its smart grid and state-of-the-art smart meter infrastructure to increase operational efficiency, facility management.
According to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA's investment in the latest systems and innovative solutions in the water sector has helped reduce water losses from 7.06 percent at the beginning of 2018 to 4.6 percent at the end of 2023.
DEWA's smart meter analysis and diagnosis center remotely monitors smart meters every 15 minutes.
