The Federal Tax Agency (FTA) has announced that resident legal entities with licenses issued in May must promptly register for corporate tax by July 31.
According to Amac News: FTA said that this action is in order to increase the awareness of corporate tax and to encourage the compliance of individuals subject to corporate tax, to resident legal entities that are subject to the licenses issued in May, regardless of the year of issuance. Company tax is issued.
The FTA statement said that this deadline is in line with the Federal Tax Administration's Decision No. 3 of 2024 on the specified timetable for the registration of taxable persons for corporate tax purposes for the purposes of Federal Law No. 47 of 2022.
The FTA emphasized the importance of meeting the specified registration deadlines for each category described in 2024 FTA Decision No. 3.
FTA warns that failure to submit a company tax registration application within the time frames specified in FTA Decision No. 3 in 2024 will result in an administrative fine of AED 10,000.

The public clarification provides comprehensive information on the deadlines for submitting registration applications for different categories of corporate taxpayers and includes practical examples to facilitate understanding of the registration requirements.
The FTA reiterated its commitment to educate taxable persons and other stakeholders in the UAE on corporate tax filing procedures through its awareness campaigns.
These include workshops, webinars, guides, training videos and various other methods designed to further clarify registration requirements and available support.
