The United Arab Emirates delegation consisting of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has participated on behalf of the United Arab Emirates in the third meeting of the Finance Ministers and Governors of the G20 Central Bank of Brazil (G20 FMCBG).

According to Amac News: The third meeting of finance ministers and governors of the G20 Central Bank (G20 FMCBG) of Brazil on 25-26. July was held under the presidency of Brazil.
This event was held in Rio de Janeiro with the presence of representatives of member countries, invited countries and international financial organizations and institutions.
The delegation of the United Arab Emirates has participated in this meeting under the chairmanship of Mohammad Hadi Al Husseini, Minister of Finance.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva met with Mohammad Hadi al Husseini and discussed common issues, including strengthening bilateral cooperation in sustainable financial affairs.
Al-Husseini emphasized that the third meeting of the G20 FMCBG in Rio de Janeiro is another proof of the importance of international cooperation in addressing global economic challenges and strengthening financial stability.
Emphasizing the importance of developing weather-resistant infrastructure and increasing transparency in sustainability reports, Al-Husseini said that the UAE believes that investing in sustainable and resilient infrastructure is important for long-term economic growth.
Participants discussed the global economic outlook and ways to strengthen financial participation, facilitate international tax cooperation, promote sustainable financing for development and climate goals, strengthen flexible capital flows, address debt vulnerabilities, and advance multilateral development bank reforms.
They discussed emerging trends and risks facing the global economy, with a special focus on the economic impacts of climate change and transition policies.
The meeting addressed key issues such as financing climate-resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable financing to support credible, robust and equitable transition plans, and establishing disclosure standards for reliable sustainability reporting.
The UAE also participated in the first meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors on February 28-29, 2024 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the second meeting on April 18-19, 2024 in Washington DC, held alongside the World Bank.
