Officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan say that in the last one year, the amount of Afghanistan's trade with the world has reached 10 billion dollars.

According to Amac News: Abdulsalam Javad Akhundzadeh, the spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, said in the program of accountability of the government to the nation, Afghanistan's export amount is 1.8 billion dollars and its import is more than 8 billion dollars.
He stated that Afghanistan's exports to Russia increased by 54%, Turkey by 53%, Iran by 19%, China by 16%, and Kazakhstan by 2.5% in the past year.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade says that during the past one year, 100 manufacturing plants have started operating in the country, licenses have been issued for about 1,000 industrial companies, and more than 23 investment licenses have been renewed, including women.
According to Akhundzadeh, in the past year, 646,150 people have been directly employed and 4,418,570 people have been indirectly employed.
Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, says that during the last one year, 10 agreements on trade and transit facilities with regional and extra-regional countries have been finalized.
He added that trade, transit and investment relations with Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries in the region have been strengthened, and necessary facilities have been provided for 650 international investors during their visit to Afghanistan.
He stated that the ground has been prepared for the signing of a contract worth about 200 million dollars between the private sector of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan and the signing of a contract worth 13 million dollars between the private sector of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, the development of industrial parks, the construction of new industrial parks, the creation of special economic zones, the standardization of domestic products and the consolidation of trade relations with the countries of the world are among the basic plans of this ministry this year.
