Officials in the Afghanistan Ministry of Mines and Petroleum have announced in a newsletter that the extraction of the largest salt mine in Faryab Province has begun.

Based on the news, this mine has an area of 14 square kilometers, which has been contracted by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to "Abo Saeed" company for a period of 15 years with an investment value of 24 million US dollars.
In the newsletter, it is stated that this company has committed to extract and exploit this mine by using advanced technologies and complying with international standards.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan says that with the start of this project, 500 tons of work has been provided.
