The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has announced by publishing a report that based on the latest value of transactions carried out in the banking sector within the country through the Emirates Funds Transfer System UAEFTS) has increased by 7.9 trillion dirhams.

According to Amac News: In the report published by the Central Bank of the Emirates, it is stated that this figure was recorded during the first five months of 2024.
According to the report, this represents an increase of 17 percent compared to the previous year, which was 6.748 trillion dirhams compared to the transactions carried out in the same period in 2023.
According to banking and monetary statistics for May 2024 published by the Central Bank of the Emirates, transactions made in the first five months: 4.968 trillion dirhams for inter-bank transfers and dirhams. 2.93 trillion was for transfer between bank customers.
Transactions in the months of 2023: AED 1.512 trillion in January, AED 1.449 trillion in February, AED 1.565 trillion in March, AED 1.592 trillion in April and AED 1.78 trillion in May.
