The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment to strengthen the strategic partnership of these two entities and promote tax culture on a wider scale.

According to the announcement, this agreement will improve the processes for UAE nationals to request a refund of Value Added Tax (VAT) for taxes incurred in the construction of new residences, guaranteeing the prospect of developing a modern housing system.
The purpose of this agreement is to develop the relationship between the FTA and the institute, to create a solid foundation for cooperation in various fields, in order to coordinate the launch of events and initiatives designed to raise awareness about the importance of compliance with tax laws and procedures.
In addition, the agreement seeks to organize joint activities to highlight the importance of tax compliance on the key role of the tax system in supporting the UAE's efforts to diversify the national economy, increase sustainable resources and create greater prosperity for all citizens and residents. .
The agreement also supports the FTA's strategic plan to promote tax awareness and education and closer cooperation to educate all stakeholders on taxes implemented in the UAE, including value added tax, excise tax and corporate tax. It also supports tax payer categories.
