Officials in the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan say that during the past year, out of a total of 109 projects, the protection and maintenance work of 85 projects has been completed.
According to Amac News: Abdul Karim Fateh, Deputy Technical Director of the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan, said that the Ministry has been able to repair 1,698 kilometers of asphalt roads in the past year.
Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, the spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan, says that with the implementation of infrastructure and development projects in the country, more than 15 thousand people have been provided with work.
According to Haqshenas, the basic reconstruction of the 80-kilometer Salang highway, the 108-kilometer Kandahar-Uruzgan highway, the 50-kilometer Trinkot-Dehrawood road, and the 80-kilometer Maaroo-Arghistan road are under the work of this ministry.
This official of the Ministry of Public Works says that the reconstruction of the second lot of the Herat-Chesht Sharif road with a length of 30 kilometers and the second, fourth and fifth lots of the Qaisar-Laman ring road with a length of 151 kilometers are among the work priorities of this ministry.
The spokesman of the ministry says that the contract for the first phase of the fourth section of Khawf-Herat and the project of basic renovations of the railway and non-rail sections of Hairataan-Mazar-e-Sharif has been concluded, and the beginning of the second phase of the fourth section of Khawf-Herat is the priority of this ministry.
Haqshenas added that the construction of the Farkhar-Varsaj road with a length of 15 kilometers and the construction of a bridge with a length of 300 meters in the Sarshili area of Nimroz province has been completed, and with the contract with private companies, the construction of the Gardiz-Zarmat road with a length of 10 kilometers and lane Second, the Kabul-Logar highway is 24.15 kilometers long.
Officials of the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan say that the preliminary survey of 604.1 km of roads, topography of 321.65 km of roads and observational survey of 997.4 km of roads, additional design of 279.48 km of roads, restoration design of 160 meters of bridges and the start of design work of 244. 8 km road is one of the achievements of this ministry in the last year.
