Officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan announced the increase in trade volume between the two countries at the opening of the exhibition of Uzbekistan products.

According to Amac News: Simultaneously with the visit of the senior officials of Uzbekistan to Kabul, the exhibition of products and productions of Uzbekistan was opened in Kabul with the presence of the officials of both countries.
Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, said at the opening of this exhibition that currently the trade volume between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan is 66 million dollars, which shows a threefold increase in recent years.
He stated that there are investment opportunities in the fields of mining, industry, agriculture, trade, energy and services in Afghanistan and asked the authorities of Uzbekistan to invest more in Afghanistan.
In this regard, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, said that Uzbekistan is ready to invest in Afghanistan and that this country is trying to increase the volume of trade to three billion dollars.
He added that Uzbekistan has reduced the high customs tariff exemption for some export products, including agricultural products.
Mohammad Younus Mummand, the first deputy of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, emphasized on the standardization of trade and said that serious attention should be paid to the opportunities in Afghanistan and the capacities in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that 35 trade agreements worth two billion 500 million dollars have been signed between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
