Officials of the Department of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir province have announced that 2,491 carats of emeralds have been sold in the latest round of emerald bidding in this province.

According to Amac News: Officials of the Panjshir Mines and Petroleum Department said that 2,491 carats of emerald extracted from the mines of this province were sold for 37,550 dollars.
It is said that so far 586 permits for the legal extraction of Panjshir emeralds have been distributed and more than 15 thousand people have been provided with work.
It should be mentioned that a month ago, during a tender, 3,977 carats of emeralds from this province were sold for 124,600 dollars.
