In this meeting, ways to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnership between DEWA and Chinese companies, especially in the field of renewable energy, to support Dubai's clean energy goals were discussed.
The two sides exchanged views on best practices and opportunities in areas such as solar energy, energy storage and smart grid infrastructure.
Al Tayer emphasized DEWA's commitment to accelerate the energy transition and position Dubai as a global hub for clean energy and green economy, in line with the Vision of Wise Leadership and the Dubai 2050 Net Zero Carbon Emission Strategy, which aims to provide 100 percent of total capacity. Dubai Electricity emphasized clean energy sources until 2050.
The meeting also discussed the participation of Chinese companies in exhibitions and conferences organized by DEWA, ​​including the Water, Energy and Environment Technology Exhibition (WETEX).
Al Tayer emphasized DEWA's cooperation with many Chinese companies in energy-related fields, especially clean and renewable energy. Several large Chinese companies are involved in DEWA projects.
