Abu Dhabi Judicial Department held a specialized workshop

According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Abu Dhabi Department of Justice, it is stated that this workshop was focused on the latest systems implemented in the management of rehabilitation and reformation centers with the aim of exchanging knowledge, expertise and learning from the best international practices in this field.
According to the announcement of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), the purpose of holding this workshop is to raise the competitive position of Abu Dhabi on the world stage.
This workshop is part of a series organized by ADJD in coordination with regional and international judicial authorities.
Counselor Hassan Alhammadi, director of the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecutor's Department, emphasized the UAE's commitment to rehabilitating prisoners and reintegrating them into society.
He emphasized on the extensive laws of the country regarding rehabilitation and reformation centers, as well as its participation in international human rights conventions and initiatives.
Alhammadi pointed to the recent issuance of Law No. 4 of 2024, according to which rehabilitation and reformation centers are regulated in Abu Dhabi.
This law is a step forward in the development of effective correctional and rehabilitation systems after handing over management responsibilities to the Ministry of Justice.
In a video conference speech, Lee Ki-hyun, director of the Department of Correctional Education of the Republic of Korea Judicial Institute, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the ADJD and Korean judicial institutions.
He highlighted the potential to exchange insights and ideas on advanced systems and training programs.
