The Dubai Multi Commodity Center (DMCC) said in a statement that the number of companies that have joined it from Colombia has increased by 21 percent since the beginning of the year.
According to Amac News: This growth means that DMCC is now home to 23 companies from Colombia and more than 150 companies from across South America, according to the announcement.
DMCC has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, an important step in further deepening its economic ties with Colombia.
The aim of this new partnership is to increase the exchange of economic information and foster business growth through targeted sponsorship of companies and promotion of events.
DMCC's visit follows the historic signing of the new UAE-Colombia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which is expected to more than double bilateral non-oil trade to $1 billion over the next five years.

The two Made For Trade Live events were held in partnership with the UAE Embassy in Bogotá, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and ANDI - the National Business Association of Colombia. More than 400 Colombian business leaders were briefed on the business attractiveness of Dubai and the ease of doing business in the DMCC business district.
DMCC's roadshow program plays a pivotal role in highlighting Dubai as a premier business destination. Throughout the series, DMCC emphasizes Dubai's distinctive value proposition in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to the emirate.
DMCC contributes to Dubai's annual FDI inflows and in 2023, the business district recorded its second best year ever, welcoming nearly 2,700 new companies. DMCC is now home to over 24,000 businesses from around the world.
