The Afghanistan's Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said that Hedayatullah Badri, acting head of the ministry, traveled to Turkmenistan at the head of a high-ranking delegation and met with  Raşit Meredow, the country's foreign minister and other cabinet officials.
Economic relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan are expanding
According to Amac News: Humayun Afghan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan, published a statement on X channel and wrote that Badri discussed important economic projects in his first meeting with Rasit Meredow the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to Afghan, the implementation of TAPI and TAP projects, optical fiber, the reconstruction of Turghondi-Herat railway line and the development of Turghondi port were among the issues discussed by the two sides in this meeting.
On the other hand, during this trip, the Afghan delegation had separate meetings with the ministers and deputy ministers of the ministries of oil and gas, transportation, industry and trade, and energy of Turkmenistan and discussed the implementation of projects between the two countries in the future.
In this meeting, it is also decided that the two sides will form a committee at the government level to further develop economic relations.
It should be mentioned that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, had traveled to Uzbekistan to participate in the opening ceremony of the International Trade Center of Termez.
