The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced the donation of 6.8 million dollars from Sweden to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
Sweden gave cash aid to Afghanistan
According to Amac News: Today, this organization wrote on its X social network that Sweden is the fourth largest donor to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says that Sweden's new aid is earmarked to address the humanitarian needs of the Afghan people in 2024.
Earlier, this organization affiliated to the United Nations announced that the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund received 81.6 million dollars in financial aid last year.
The United Nations says that nearly 25 million people in Afghanistan need humanitarian assistance.
According to this department, Sweden has contributed nearly 85 million dollars to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund this year.
