During the first session, Dr. Amna Al Dahak said, “Last year, we announced a nationwide commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent compared to the business-as-usual scenario by 2030, as shown at the third edition of the second UAE National Expo. It has been stated.
He confirmed that the UAE has invested $50 billion in renewable energy projects in more than 70 countries and plans to invest an additional $50 billion in the next decade.
Dr. Al Dahak stressed the UAE's commitment to strengthening international cooperation, especially among the BRICS countries, in developing urgent solutions to address and adapt to climate change. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation in carbon markets proposed by the BRICS group.
Amina Al Dahak stressed that cooperation in strengthening efforts to tackle climate change is an urgent priority.
He added that the UAE is committed to increasing its national efforts to combat climate change and participate in international initiatives to promote climate action.
