The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates has published a statement saying that Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, has emphasized the alignment of the UAE's vision with the vision of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, it is stated that Al-Shamsi emphasized the need to coordinate efforts, methods and policies on key issues, especially in the promotion of food security in the region.
 He appreciated the efforts of the Secretariat of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council to achieve integration in the entire Persian Gulf, remove obstacles and create a common vision for food security.
Dr. Al Dahak made this statement while participating as the head of the UAE delegation from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and local institutions in the 36th Ministerial Meeting of the Agriculture and Food Security Committee of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council hosted by Qatar.
This meeting was held under the chairmanship of Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, the Minister of Municipality of Qatar, and with the presence of the ministers responsible for agriculture and food security of the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council.
In this meeting, Dr. Al Dahak stressed that the UAE is making significant efforts to strengthen the agriculture and food sector under the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President.
He added that our common consensus paves the way for increased cooperation and collaboration.
During her speech, Dr. Amina bint Abdullah Al Dahak invited the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council to participate in the first round of the World Food Security Summit, which is scheduled to be held on November 26-27, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, as part of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food.
The summit brings together experts and decision makers to discuss innovative solutions to strengthen the global food security system, provide a platform to exchange best practices and showcase developments in the food security sector.
The 36th Ministerial Meeting of the Agriculture and Food Security Committee of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council addressed key issues to coordinate efforts to increase food security, including the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council Food Security Strategy.
This strategy will positively contribute to the integration of procedures among member states to create a Gulf institution capable of withstanding crises.
The UAE also agreed with the views of the Gulf Cooperation Council on several important cases related to the agriculture, aquaculture and animal sectors.
The UAE approved the adoption of the GCC Guidelines for the Collection and Transport of Animal Specimens as a reference, ensuring its alignment with international standards and protecting GCC countries from epidemics and infectious animal diseases.
