The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has published a report saying that by the end of the second quarter of 2024, it has registered more than 400 artificial intelligence companies in Abu Dhabi.

According to the announcement, a recent study by the Abu Dhabi Chamber found that on average, an AI company will be founded in Abu Dhabi every two days in the first half of 2024.
Almost 90 AI companies were founded in just six months, representing a significant 41.3% year-over-year growth in the sector in the first half of 2024.
A previous study published by the chamber in February showed that the number of registered AI companies in the UAE would grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 67 percent between 2021 and 2023.
The rapid growth of AI companies in the UAE underscores the sector's rapid expansion locally and Abu Dhabi's growing appeal as a leading hub for technology and business innovation on a regional and global scale, a new study shows.
The study also showed that business activities related to artificial intelligence innovation and research and consulting were the most prevalent among companies in the second quarter of 2024, accounting for 69% of all activities.
This reflects the growing interest of the government and the private sector in advancing technology and promoting economic growth with a focus on research and consulting services with high added value.
Artificial intelligence educational activities ranked second with 11 percent, followed by management and operation of artificial intelligence robotic systems with 10 percent.
The wholesale trade of artificial intelligence training is 8% and the retail trade of artificial intelligence robots is 2%.
The study emphasized that the Abu Dhabi Chamber plays a pivotal role in supporting AI companies in the UAE by providing a platform for communication and collaboration, facilitating business exchanges and developing policies that create an ideal environment for the growth of AI companies.
