The Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Organization (DIEZ) has announced the operational and financial results of DIEZ for the first half of 2024.
According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Organization, it is stated that the results show that in the first half of 2024, compared to the results announced at the end of 2023, DIEZ will grow by 18% in net profit, 12% in total revenue and 7%. A percentage of operating profit is achieved.
According to the announcement, these figures also coincide with the growth of the number of registered companies, including local, regional and global markets, which operate in DIEZ economic zones. The total number of these companies has increased by 4 percent compared to the end of 2023.
Additionally, these companies now have more than 78,000 professional employees, representing a 12 percent year-over-year growth.
At the start of 2024, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed endorsed the organization's new strategy, which aims to reaffirm Dubai's status as a regional and global investment destination in all sectors.
It also supports the UAE's strategic priorities for integrated economic zones, focusing on three key areas: excellence, growth and enrichment.
The first half of 2024 also saw SANDBOX, the accelerator program dedicated to the growth of technology startups, part of Oraseya Capital, the venture capital investment arm of DIEZ, marking the completion of its fourth cohort.
Seven tech startups received funding from Oraseya Capital, each receiving Dh570,000 as a result of their success in the program, which attracted more than 1,500 applications.
DIEZ, in partnership with Aramex, has begun piloting the company's autonomous delivery robot system in Dubai's Silicon Oasis, a step towards integrating sustainable autonomous delivery methods into Dubai's urban environment.
