According to Amac News: The announcement of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) states that this agreement was signed to launch an e-commerce program to further enhance the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Dubai.
Dubai Traders paves the way for Dubai to cement its position as a global hub for SME entrepreneurship and growth, empowering SMEs to create a branded online presence, digitize supply chain processes and access Support e-commerce channels.
The initiative focuses on creating close private sector partnerships with leading B2B, B2C and specialist digital solutions providers to leverage their expertise and strengths to provide a set of tools, incentives and support mechanisms for SMEs to engage and Deal with online customers.
The program will focus on the e-commerce vertical to allow SMEs to establish a large e-commerce presence and grow in the digital marketplace.
