AD Ports Group signs ZPMC AED 420 million crane award agreement

According to Amac News: AD Ports Group's announcement states that these agreements are part of AD Ports Group's 30-year concession agreement for the development and operation of a multi-purpose terminal in the port of Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo, as well as a 20-year concession agreement for modern Construction and operation of the Luanda terminal in Angola.
The agreements are in line with AD Ports Group's strategy to promote advanced development in emerging markets, fostering mutual and sustainable economic growth, according to the announcement.
According to the signed contracts, the Pointe Noire and Luanda terminals will each receive three Super Post-Panamax STS cranes that can reach 21 rows of containers at a distance of 60 meters. P
Pointe Noire will receive 9 hybrid RTGs, while the Luanda terminal will receive eight hybrid RTGs. These hybrid RTGs can save up to 60% of diesel compared to traditional diesel RTGs, equivalent to one million liters per year and approximately 5000 tons of CO2 emissions.
In June 2023, AD Ports Group signed a 30-year concession agreement with the government of the Republic of Congo to manage and operate the New East Mole multipurpose terminal in Pointe Noire.
With an investment of 500 million US dollars during the concession period, the terminal handles containers, general cargo, break cargo and other types of cargo.
In April 2024, AD Ports Group signed a 20-year concession agreement (extendable for another 10 years) with Luanda Port Authority to operate and upgrade the existing multi-purpose port terminal in Angola.
AD Ports Group has committed around $250 million to modernize the terminal and develop its logistics business over the next three years, with the investment potentially increasing to $379 million over the concession period, in line with market demand.
These agreements highlight AD Ports Group's ambitious international expansion plans aimed at increasing the efficiency of global supply chains, creating faster trade routes and providing diversified logistics solutions for key strategic business partners.
