Sharjah Chamber emphasizes women
According to Amac News: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has stressed the importance of accelerating women's economic empowerment as a key driver of sustainable development, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a statement.
During the event, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Sharjah institutions and the European Women’s Association (EWA). An agreement was signed by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The agreement aims to strengthen business relations, strengthen mutual economic cooperation, facilitate the exchange of business delegations and economic data, support women entrepreneurs, encourage bilateral investments, and increase joint activities between Sharjah’s private sector and European business.
Women's economic empowerment is expected to contribute about $13 trillion to the global economy by 2030. Research shows that startups led by women generate twice as much revenue as those led by men.
The inaugural session of this year’s Sharjah-Europe Business Women’s Assembly discussed the importance of women’s economic empowerment through partnership, recognizing it as a key driver for fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
The discussion highlighted how partnerships can accelerate empowerment by capitalizing on the resources and expertise of different stakeholders, including government entities and the private sector.
The Sharjah-Europe Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2024 will empower more women entrepreneurs to access resources and enhance their abilities to create and expand their ventures.
