The Dubai International Chamber of Commerce said in a statement that it had organized 180 bilateral business meetings between companies from Dubai and Serbia.
According To Amac News: The meetings were held in Belgrade in the first phase of the Chamber's trade mission to Serbia and Turkey as part of the New Horizons project, the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.
The meetings are aimed at expanding local companies by connecting them with opportunities in promising global markets, the release said.
The trade mission was attended by representatives of 13 private sector companies in Dubai in various sectors including electronics, food and beverage, pipeline products, information technology, brand protection, technology, airport services, retail, textiles, and energy solutions.
The Dubai International Chamber, with the support of the UAE Embassy in Belgrade and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a special business forum entitled Doing Business with Serbia in Belgrade.
During these meetings, the Dubai Chambers signed an agreement with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The agreement paves the way for further cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Serbia.
The two sides will cooperate to organize trade missions, conferences and business events, as well as participate in knowledge and expertise sharing to support growth and innovation.
Non-oil trade between Dubai and Serbia reached Dh233.9 million in 2023, according to Dubai Customs data.
At the end of the first half of 2024, a total of 202 Serbian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, with 39 new companies registering in this six-month period.
