According to Amac News: In the announcement of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, it is stated that the total number of licenses issued and renewed by this department in Sharjah has reached 17,981 licenses, which shows a growth rate of 16% in this period.
The announcement states that these figures show the confidence of the business sectors in the investment opportunities available in Sharjah.
Khalid al-Suwaidi, deputy director of the Registration and Licensing Department at SEDD, said licenses issued in the third quarter reached 2,137, while licenses renewed increased to 15,844.
According to him, commercial licenses ranked first according to the type of license, which was issued to 1267 licenses during the third quarter, followed by professional licenses with 605 licenses, followed by industrial licenses to 126, and e-commerce licenses.
They ranked fourth with 76 permits
He added that in the case of renewed licenses, first commercial licenses with a total of 9,991 licenses, followed by professional licenses with 4,818 licenses, industrial licenses with 747 licenses, and the number of Eitimad licenses reached 227 licenses, while e-commerce licenses reached 61 licenses.
The number of permits issued by the SEDD Industrial Areas Branch is 975, while the Central Region Branch has 200 permits, followed by the Khor Fekan Branch with 89 permits. Also, Kolba branch with 68 licenses and Diba Al Hassan branch completed 18 licenses issued.
