"SAFEEN Subsea" launched an unmanned vessel
According to Amac News: The announcement added that this remotely controlled unmanned vessel (USV) was designed and launched for the purpose of carrying out various maritime operations.
According to the announcement, the vessel can operate up to 200 nautical miles offshore and collect high-quality geophysical and hydrographic data with minimal environmental impact.
This innovative vessel is controlled from a Remote Onshore Operations Center (ROC) and uses advanced navigation and safety technologies to ensure continuous and safe operations.
SAFEEN Green, which runs on 100% renewable electrical energy, has only 10% of the emissions of a conventional ship, which means a significant carbon reduction.
AD Ports Group said the unmanned vessel underwent extensive trials in the North Sea before being deployed to the UAE.
The company added that the vessel's operational flexibility allows it to serve a variety of sectors including oil and gas, wind farms and deep-sea minerals, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
