Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) announced that the 14th Sharjah Publishers Conference has officially opened at the Sharjah Exhibition Centre.

According to Amac News: Citing the Sharjah Book Department, this exhibition was opened by SBA President Boudor Bint Sultan Al-Qasimi.

According to the department, the three-day event, organized in collaboration with the International Publishers Association, precedes the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
1065 publishers and literary agents along with 74 speakers representing a diverse range of 108 countries around the world are participating in this conference.
According to the SBA announcement, this global partnership underscores the global importance of the conference as a major platform for international publishing professionals to exchange ideas, enhance partnerships and explore publishing partnerships on rights, distribution and sales.
The SBA President, who opened the conference, said that as publishing undergoes rapid and extensive change, the SBA strives to ensure that new voices are heard and that the publishing industry evolves with integrity and inclusiveness.
He said: "Together we can create a publishing vision that includes the expansion and diversity of human stories in the world and unites people across borders."
On the first day of the conference, SBA executives honored the winners of the third Sharjah Law Connection Awards, which aims to recognize exceptional efforts in supporting and developing the publishing and translation rights sector.
On this day, John Ingram, President of Ingram Content Group and President of Lightning Source, in conversation with Ed Navotka, Editor-in-Chief of Publishers Weekly, emphasized the importance of accessibility in publishing, especially for smaller-scale producers, and the need for timely delivery of works. pointed out to consumers in today's fast-paced market.
The first day of the publisher's conference included 30 interactive roundtable sessions in which leading experts and professionals participated.
