With the opening of this office, the number of international offices of Dubai International Chamber will increase to 32. This move is said to be part of the "Dubai Global" initiative, which seeks to establish 50 representative offices around the world by 2030 to attract foreign direct investment, international businesses and outstanding global talent to Dubai.
The opening of this office indicates the increase of economic relations between Dubai and Kazakhstan. Non-oil trade between these two markets reached a value of 14 billion dirhams last year, which represents an annual growth of 82%.
In the first nine months of this year, 187 new companies from Kazakhstan have joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, increasing the total number of active companies from this country to 668 by the end of September.
Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said about the opening of this office that the purpose of expanding the global network of these offices is to strengthen Dubai's position as a leading financial and business center.
He said that these agencies play an important role in attracting companies and investments to Dubai, increasing bilateral trade between the markets of Dubai and the host country, and improving cooperation opportunities between business communities.
Likewise, the Almaty office of the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce will support the business community of Kazakhstan and strengthen relations with public and private partners.
