Amac News: Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA, said that the income of this organization has grown during this period. According to him, DEWA's consolidated revenue grew by 6.2% and its EBITDA by 4.7% for the first nine months of 2024.
DEWA's consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2024 increased by 4.75% to 9.9 billion dirhams, and its EBITDA during this period was 5.1 billion dirhams, and Cash from Operations increased by 34.20% to 5.9 billion dirhams.
Also, DEWA announced that in the third quarter of 2024, the organization's electricity production reached 19.6 trillion watt hours (TWh), an increase of 3.98% compared to the same period last year.
Specifically, 1.8 TWh of this amount came from clean energy sources, which accounted for 9.18 percent of total electricity generation in the quarter, according to the organization.
DEWA also saw a 3.41% increase in its seasonal peak demand from Q3 2023 to 10.76 gigawatts (GW).
DEWA's desalinated water production reached 40.5 billion imperial gallons in the third quarter of 2024 with an increase of 4.64% compared to last year. Daily demand for desalinated water reached an all-time high of 455 million imperial gallons, a 4.92 percent increase over the same period last year.
At the end of the third quarter of 2024, DEWA had 1,250,288 customer accounts, representing an increase of 4.16% over last year.
