Amac News: Citing the UAE's governmental news agency, WAM, the delegation included representatives from various government entities and the private sector, accompanied by Mohammed Al Ariqi, Representative of the Presidential Court, and Ahmed Al-Hay Al-Hameli, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan.
During the visit, the delegation examined ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in key areas such as oil and gas, clean energy, infrastructure, and other vital sectors, as well as opportunities for joint investments between the two countries.
The Emirati delegation met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, as well as Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the President of Turkmenistan.
The agenda included meetings with Ashirguly Begliev, Advisor to the President on Oil and Gas Affairs, Batyr Amanov, Deputy Prime Minister for Oil and Gas Affairs, and several other senior officials from Turkmenistan.
This high-level visit comes as non-oil trade between the two countries saw a growth of over 75% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching approximately AED 4.2 billion.
