The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has reported a 19% increase in food and beverage exports from the UAE in the first half of 2024, forecasting that the sector’s revenue will reach $38.3 billion (AED 141 billion).

According to Amac News: The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce released the figures in a report on the occasion of Global Food Week 2024.
World Food Week 2024 Abu Dhabi is an event that brings together experts, academics and international businesses active in the field of agriculture and food production.
The event, organized by the Abu Dhabi Agricultural and Food Security Authority (ADAFSA), is scheduled to continue until Thursday, November 28, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The ADCCI report also predicted that online sales of Abu Dhabi’s food and beverage will reach $619 million (AED 2.3 billion) by 2025.
The report also forecasts that consumer spending on the food and beverage sector will increase by 6.3% in 2024.
Reflecting the attractiveness and strength of the sector, 2,540 new companies in the food sector – comprising 178 operations – joined ADCCI between January and October 2023, representing approximately 8.2% of the chamber’s total membership.
During its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Food Show 2024, ADCCI will host seven local SMEs at its stand.
